About Us

Jungle Survival Drivers Training was founded by former UPS Safety Manager, Randy Rand of Grand Rapids, MI. As a 24-year veteran of defensive driver training and accident investigation/reconstruction, Randy bore witness to senseless carnage on our highways. During investigations, he was haunted when young people's lives were cut short in collisions. Often, the fatal errors committed by young drivers were avoidable with sufficient training and support. Over time, Randy realized he could make a difference and help save young lives. His vision was to create Jungle Survival Driver's Training, where new drivers would learn a higher level of defensive driving techniques and pro practices designed to equip them for the concrete jungle.

In Randy's words: "I consider it a true honor when a parent makes the decision to enroll one of their teens in JSDT. It is never an easy decision to make, allowing your teen to begin the process of driving a car. When the decision is made -- with a little pressure from your teen, I'm sure-- you want to make sure that they receive the best training possible. The training needs to be of such outstanding quality that when you finally hand the keys to the car to them, you are confident in their ability to drive safely, defensively, and to arrive alive."

Jungle Survival Drivers Training delivers its unique, expert training in a high-energy learning environment that's engaging and entertaining. Parents are provided the tools needed to assist their young driver survive the challenges they will face in the jungle. Randy and his staff are passionately committed to instilling excellence and saving lives.
