SEGMENT 1 AND SEGMENT 2
TRAINING Our Jungle Drivers Training programs feature high-quality instruction in a unique and engaging environment. We are licensed by the Michigan Department of State, Driver Training & Testing Division. The following programs are required in order to qualify for a driver license in Michigan, but completion thereof does not guarantee it. Driving records of each professional instructor is available for your review upon request. Segment 1: As outlined by the Department of Education, Jungle Survival Drivers Training will conduct 24 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction in a dual-controlled automobile, fully insured, which covers each student enrolled in the program. The student must be at least 14 years 8 months of age by the beginning of the class (verification by birth certificate required). Requirements to passing the course and receiving the Segment 1 certificate are based on the student completing the classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel instruction and achieving a minimum score of 80% on the Segment 1 Knowledge Test. In addition, students must pass Jungle Survival Drivers Training Space & Visibility Test with a score of %100.
Segment 2: As outlined by the Department of Education, Jungle Survival Drivers Training will conduct a minimum of 6 hours of classroom instruction in defensive driving strategies. Prior to attending class, the student must have a Level 1 License for at least 90 days and have received 30 hours of the required 50 hours of behind-the-wheel time with a parent or designated licensed adult over the age of 21, including 2 of the required 10 hours of night driving. Requirements for passing the course and receiving the Segment 2 certificate are based on the student completing the classroom instruction noted herein, and demonstrating the ability to execute proper defensive driving habits while operating a vehicle.
